Both the shortcode and widget use the same feed parsing and sorting logic.
There shouldn’t be any difference.

Could you please share the RSS feed with me to reproduce the issue in my test setup?

You should find the widget under “widgets” page. Can you please search for the block with the same name? When you click the “plus” button, it should be listed under the “widget” section.

Hi Minh,

The “multiple messages” feature works as a “slider”.

For the “horizontal scroll” (ticker) to work, please remove all “<-- message -->” tags after switching to “text editor”.

Once this is done, you should be able to pick “ticker” layout.

I’ll make a fix in the next version of the plugin to automatically set this. For now, please manualyl remove the message tag.

Glad that you figured out the cause.

Regarding the announcement beign displayed in multiple lines, you need to ensure there are no “line breaks” or new paragraphs.

You can switch to the “text editor”, remove any <p> tags and ensure the announcements are in the same line.

It looks like you had multiple messages previously and now you want to switch to ticket layout.

Can you switch to “code editor” and remove all the “< -- message -->” tags?

This should allow the ticker layout.

There are no known issue with the plugin itself.

1) Could you please let me know how the plugin is used ? like is it a widget or shortcode?
2) What are the RSS feed URL you are using in the feed?

I can see wordpress is crashing.

Hi there,

The announcement message cannot be translated using WPML.

However, you can create announcement for each language. Under the “location rules” tab, you can add the “WPML post language” rule to display the announcement on the specific language.

Hi Peter,

Announcements will be displayed as per the “location rules” configuration.
If you have multiple announcements in one page, then you can go to “location rules” tab and configure and target on which pages that announcement should appear. This way you an avoid multiple in one page.
