This is a problem with printfriendly.com itself. It is redirecting the page to its old version, which does not read the content.

But you can make it work. Follow the below steps ..

Open wp-socializer.php file present in the wp-content/plugins/wp-socializer/ folder

Goto line 407

Replace the line

Code:

‘url’ => ‘http://www.printfriendly.com/print?url={permalink}’,

with

Code:

‘url’ => ‘http://www.printfriendly.com/print/new?url={permalink}’,

save the file. That’s all.

Shortcodes created using “shortcoder” plugin should only be used in “Post editing admin page” i.e the page where you create posts. Actually this plugin allows to insert frequently used javascripts and other things within posts with ease management like adsense ads etc.

This cannot be used to insert javascript in single.php and other theme files.

Thanks for your idea. I am planning to add twitter’s official retweet button to the retweet buttons list in the next version. This will solve the problem.

Currently i am busy making some testing works related to wp socializer’s admin tab system as the current version is bit confusing for beginners.

I tested the plugin in all the versions of TwentyTen theme with some images in the post. But everything worked fine for me. Actually, no filtering is made to the content when printing the content. A simple and recommended concept of inserting buttons above/below post is followed in WP Socializer plugin.

Only some custom modifications are made to the post excerpt. When the excerpt contains a text, some filtering of tags are made when displaying. When the post contains no excerpt, no filtering is made.

This is made to for a major unknown bug. I think this can cause problem to the posts. Please check whether the post contains excerpt or not.

I didn’t experience this problem in my localsite and even i saw the image in the page you linked.

I tested the plugin in every different setting and placement and it worked well in all cases.

Can you please mention the template conditions i.e show in excerpt, show in tag, show in posts etc .

Also mention the position (above or below)

Being a single person, i found to hard to manage the different types of buttons and features. Thats the reason and i concentrated more on the core script !

I tried the admin page in most of the old and new browsers and it seemed to work well for me.

What browser u r using (with version) ?

Can you collapse the wordpress side menus when you are in WP Socializer admin page ?

What is your screen resolution ?

Do you use any admin page related plugin ?

Try WP Socializer admin page in “Blue admin color scheme” (Users->Your Profile)

Try deleting the cache

Try reloading the admin page

Try in other browsers

I think, it is just a mistake with loading jQuery for the admin page.

The tabs are powered with jQuery framework. If it is not loaded properly all the tabs will be visible.

Please link a screenshot of the buggy admin page.

Hello, Lee I think you don’t need to misunderstand the word “misusing” . Mainly i developed Shortcoder plugin for myself. But seeing its usage i increased its feature and made it for the world.

Actually, Shortcoder plugin has 10 empty fields. You can use each field to insert javascripts, HTML codes etc.. Since there are only 10 fields, when you use a temporary javascript (used in one page) then one field will be wasted. When you want to insert javascript, which is used only in one page, then you can directly insert it into the post.

My aim is not to hurt or hate you, but to make you to use the plugin in a very useful way. If the word ‘misusing‘ hurts you, then i am very sorry !

Its not the fault of the plugin. It is due to your site’s CSS properties. On inspecting the toolbar the irregular appearance is due to the CSS of your site. The lines are due to the tables of your site.

No problem with the plugin.

Also, shortcoder plugin is designed not to insert temporary javascripts.

It is aimed to insert “Advertisements, RSS feeds, Maps, Youtube videos etc …”

I think you are misusing the plugin. This plugin has a very very heavy usage and advantage.
