Plugin has worked well for nearly a year but just noticed that images are no longer appearing. Any ideas why?

Hi,

It seems Google news stopped including the original source URL in the RSS feed. Hence the plugin is unable to get thumbnail.

Google seems to be strict this time around and hid the source URL completely.

I’m seeing the same thumbnail issue in popular apps like feedly.
While I see if there is any workaround, I would suggest use a different news feed for now.

Please note that, SRR can display the thumbnail if it is present in the RSS feed itself. But Google news does not have it. Instead the plugin takes the extra step of parsing the source URL and fetching the thumbnail from the source URL, which is now not working.

I’ll update if I find something.
