    Hi Support Team,

I’m using your Ultimate Floating Sidebar plugin to display some content in a compact way on my blog. I’d like to show a map from the plugin GEO my WP inside the sidebar – specifically on this page:

    The problem:
The map doesn’t load when placed inside the floating sidebar. It just keeps showing “Waiting for Google Maps…” and nothing happens.

Important: The map from GEO my WP works perfectly when inserted into the regular page content or inside a classic Divi sidebar. So it seems the issue only occurs when the map is used inside the floating sidebar.

Is there any way to make sure Google Maps loads properly in this case? Or do I need to adjust anything in the plugin settings?

    Looking forward to your feedback!

    Best regards
    Colin

    Hi Colin,

    Thanks for using UFW plugin.
It seems the map you are using does not respond well when it is hidden. It works only when it is visible since page load.

Since the UFW keeps the widget hidden on page load, the map does not load for some reason.

You would see the same behavior if you use the map on any popup.

There should be some code or workaround in the MAP plugin to handle this situation.

Can you please check with the map developer once and see if they can help on this?

Please let me know how it goes. I’ll try to help as much as possible.

    Thanks,
    Aakash
