ParticipantSo I have a paid license for Ultimate Floating Widgets and when i tried to use the fontawesome code on the site to add the icon to the open and close, the open worked however the close showed a little box where the icon should have been.
So then I tried to download it, I converted it to .png and then tried to use the url to it linked in a location on my site and again the Open button works fine, the icon appears, but the close button shows no icon.
I’d love to use the same icon in both the open and close, but i cannot seem to get this working. I’m hoping its just a bug or something the developer forgot to include, which would be weird since it says you can do this in the options, at least as far as trying to use the font awesome code in both the open and close buttons. Open works, close does not whether i use the code or try to use a url.

KeymasterHi John,
Thanks for usign Ultimate floating widgets plugin.
When you see a empty box for an icon, it means font icon is not recognized or there is some conflict with the CSS loaded.
I can help you with that.
Can you please share your website URL? (it seems the URL got stripped away by the forum)Thanks,

ParticipantThanks for the reply. The website url is https://pnsbs.com
You will see I have two floating widgets, each on either side and both have the same issue. I downloaded the icons and tried to load them that way, but they only work on open, not on close. If i use the built in fontawesome name the discord one i believe won’t even load at all, so i had to download that one to even get it working.

ParticipantJust a note the Link button on the forum doesn’t work, if i put a link in there it vanishes. So i just added the link itself without using the link button and it worked.

KeymasterHi John,
For the close icon, we cannot use custom image (i.e png jpg).
But we can use any font icon.
Please set
fas fa-times
as the value for the close icon.
It should work now. Please let me know if it worked.
Thanks,

ParticipantIs there a reason it works when opening but doesn’t work closing? It would seem to be just a coding issues, something that could be fixed. Its weird that you can open with an icon but you can’t close with an icon.

KeymasterHi John,
The assumption was that users would need to set anything for the open icon but only font icon for the close icon.
This is because, close icons are usually just a “x”. So you can use only font-icon.
There was no request to change this behavior.
Let me know if you are interested, I can add this to my todo list and try to add it to the next version. Thanks,

ParticipantI understand. I do wish that we would have the option the same as we have with the open icon, but I can use x for now.
