Hi - currently using the Super RSS Reader in WP. It's a really great plugin. The site is under development and due to go live in next couple of days.

Unfortunately, a theme update has caused a clash with the plugin. I'm using one of the themes from "Elegant Themes", they're quite popular and I've not had any other problems until now.

What's happened is since the theme updated the plugin is causing all animation type stuff to stop working. So the navigation menu on the site disappears, the scrolling ticker in your plugin stops moving and the tabs style selection for multiple feeds in your plugin doesn't work. I'm wondering if there is some sort of clash JQuery issue? I'm not asking for support with the theme - that's resolved by deactivating your plugin unfortunately.

I'm now missing a big chunk of the sidebar and need to get the site live - do you have any thoughts? Can you help?

Actually - I've just worked out that this is a clash between the TubePress plugin and Super RSS Reader, not the theme itself. http://tubepress.org/

So, your plugin is now reactivated.

The super RSS reader plugin is tested in various sites ans it works good with no problems.
If a problem occurs, then it can be due to some Javascript error in other plugins.

If you want to make sure, just press Ctrl+Shift+J in Chrome and Copy the "Red lines (errors actually)" and post it here.

Ill check the error and reply you the details.

I've now noticed that the problem is still occurring now in just IE. I've tested on Chrome and Firefox and deactivating the TubePress plugin resolved the issue but still not in IE.

The error shown in the console in IE is:

jquery.min.js?ver=3.4.1, line 2 character 68522
SCRIPT5: Access is denied.

If you need what's shown in Chrome I can reactivate the plugin TubePress to force the error and copy the details for you.

Hope this helps as I'm still hoping to get the site live soon.

It is discussed that the above error happens only if some jQuery plugin makes a Cross site request (http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5087 ... ript-on-ie).

Super RSS Reader doesn't involve in making a XHR request. It only animates the feeds.
So just check out any other plugin which makes this request. If an error is mentioned in the SRR.js file, Ill immediately rectify it, bu its is completely due to other plugin.

Also, without a live site I am finding it difficult to solve the problem. Thank you.

Try changing to the default "2011" theme and check whether the plugin works. If it works, then it is definitely a theme problem. Make sure the plugins you say are active while changing to the 2011 theme. Thank you.
