How to use force_feed()

Postby bhoppe » Tue Feb 26, 2013 10:14 pm

Hi thanks for a fantastic plugin!

One of the feeds I am trying to process is giving me problems: http://groups.google.com/group/intersystems-public-cache/feed/rss_v2_0_topics.xml

I get a message,
RSS Error: A feed could not be found at http://groups.google.com/group/intersys ... topics.xml. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed.

Can someone please advise how I should use force_feed()?

I know just enough PHP that I actually once installed my own version of simplepie and hacked the demo page to use force_feed(). Based on the error message above and my past experience, I guess I need to hack this plugin, and I am hoping for some tips about how best to do so.

thanks a lot
